★ᯓStop Shrinking Yourself to Make Others Comfortableᯓ★

You Only Shine After You Climb Out of the Pit

There is a version of you that tried to survive by shrinking. Softening your voice. Dimming your sparkle. Pretending you were less so others could feel like more.

You thought that was humility. It wasn’t. It was self-abandonment.

In life, I’ve realized something: you gain nothing by making yourself smaller for the comfort of others. When you dim your light, you don’t create peace; you create disconnection from your own spirit. And that disconnection costs more than rejection ever could.

When you begin walking in your power, people will be triggered. Not because you are wrong. Not because you are arrogant. But because you are unapologetically yourself.

We are all mirrors. When someone looks at you, they are often looking at a reflection of something inside themselves. Sometimes it’s admiration. Sometimes it’s inspiration. And sometimes… It’s insecurity.

A trait they once admired in you can suddenly become the very thing they resent. Not because the trait changed, but because they never gave themselves permission to embody it.

Your confidence reminds them of where they shrink. Your authenticity reminds them of where they perform. Your freedom reminds them of where they feel confined. And instead of asking, “Why don’t I allow myself to shine like that?” it becomes, “How dare you?”

That projection is not yours to carry.

For every person unsettled by your light, there is another who feels seen by it. You are not responsible for how others interpret your existence.

You were created intentionally. The same God who formed the mountains, the oceans, and the sky formed you with equal care. Your aura, your laugh, your mind, your sensitivity, your boldness, none of it is accidental.

So why would you contort yourself to fit spaces that require you to fragment?

The world will tell you to work harder, prove more, tone it down, and be digestible. It will tell you your worth is earned through exhaustion. But your worth was established the moment you were created.

You do not have to bleed to be deserving.

You gain everything by being aligned with Spirit. By trusting God. By believing that what is meant for you has already been written.

Faith is not passivity. It is trust in divine timing.

Why do you feel like you must deplete yourself to receive? Why do you feel like you must pour from a barren cup? Why do you feel obligated to please people who would not sustain you in your drought?

That is not love. That is fear.

Fear always asks you to shrink. But God does not ask you to shrink. He asks you to trust.

Trust that rejection is redirection. Trust that delays are protection. Trust that the pit was not punishment; it was preparation.

Because the pit shaped you. The betrayal. The childhood wounds. The isolation. The seasons where you felt unseen.

I am not saying the pain was good. But I am saying it strengthened you.

Life without struggle may look peaceful on the surface, but there is a depth that only those who have endured darkness carry. You understand resilience. You understand discernment. You understand gratitude in a way comfort alone could never teach.

There is no light without darkness. And if you have walked through darkness and are still here, that means you were built to survive it.

Being triggered is simply someone touching a wound. The more healed it is, the less it hurts, and that applies to you, too.

If something still shakes you deeply, it does not mean you are failing. It means there is still restoration happening there.

Healing is not the absence of reaction. It is the softening of it. Over time, what once shattered you will barely move you. That is growth. That is God refining you.

You only shine after you climb out of the pit.

The shine of someone who has endured carries a different kind of depth. It is steady. Grounded. Unshakable.

You are not behind. You are not broken. You are becoming.

Stop shrinking to make others comfortable. Stop apologizing for the light placed inside you. Stop dimming what God intentionally illuminated.

Walk boldly. Laugh freely. Trust deeply.

The woman you are becoming is not too much.

She is aligned.

And alignment shines naturally.
