Information Is Information: Stop Letting Every Circumstance Control Your Peace
There are seasons in life when everything starts to feel a little unfamiliar. The things that once felt right don’t quite feel the same anymore; your desires begin to shift, and suddenly you find yourself questioning what you actually want, who you want to be, and where you’re headed.
You may not have all the answers yet, but somewhere deep down, you know you’re being called into something greater.
You know you’re becoming someone new, but you don’t necessarily know exactly who she is yet. You know you’re being pulled toward something different, but you can’t see the entire path. You’re somewhere in between what was and what’s next.
If that’s where you are, I want you to know something:
You are not behind or lost, and you don’t need to have everything figured out to become her.
Because becoming her isn’t a destination.
There is no point where you can say, “I’ve arrived. I’ve finished growing.”
There is always more to learn. More to experience. More to release. More to discover about yourself.
The goal isn’t to become perfect.
The goal is to become more you.
To get closer to the most authentic version of yourself underneath the expectations, conditioning, fear, comparison, and noise you’ve collected along the way.
And when you’re in a season of change, spirituality can become an anchor.
Not something you use to escape reality, but something that helps you navigate it with more awareness, trust, gratitude, and intention.
Because just because you can’t see something coming together doesn’t mean nothing is happening behind the scenes.
Don’t let the 3D convince you that your story is over when you’re still in the middle of it.
You wouldn’t keep dreaming about something, praying about it, envisioning it, writing about it, pinning it, creating vision boards around it, or feeling pulled toward it if it didn’t mean something to you.
You don’t have to know exactly how everything will happen.
You can learn to trust that what is meant for you doesn’t require you to obsess over every detail.
So while you’re becoming her, here are some spiritual practices that can help you stay connected to yourself along the way.
1. Practice Gratitude, Then Take It a Step Further
Gratitude is probably the simplest spiritual practice I have consistently come back to.
And I don’t mean only sitting down once a day and writing three things you’re grateful for.
I mean making gratitude a way of seeing your life.
I often thank God for the things in my day.
Thank you for waking me up.
Thank you for my body.
Thank you for my ability to move.
Thank you for the people I love.
Thank you for what I have.
And yes, sometimes: Thank you in advance for what is coming.
There is something beautiful about appreciating what you already have while also trusting that there is on it’s way to you.
Think about how good it feels when someone genuinely appreciates you.
Personally, I love complimenting people. I love showing love. I love pouring into people and letting them know that I see them.
And it makes me feel good to do it.
So imagine bringing that same energy into your relationship with the Divine.
I see what you’re doing.
I appreciate what you’ve already given me.
I trust what I can’t see yet.
Gratitude shifts your attention from constantly looking at what’s missing to recognizing what is already present.
And sometimes, that shift in perspective changes everything.
You can even begin praying from expectation instead of lack.
Instead of :
“God, please give me this.”
Try:
“Thank you for what I have, and thank you for what is already unfolding for me.”
This isn’t about pretending you have something you don’t have or denying your current circumstances.
It’s about refusing to let the absence of something become your entire identity.
2. Become Intentional About What You Consume
We talk so much about consuming food, but we consume so much more than food.
We consume information.
Music.
Social media.
Movies.
Podcasts.
Opinions.
Conversations.
News.
Other people’s fears.
Other people’s expectations.
Other people’s beliefs about what your life should look like.
And if you’re becoming more self-aware, you have to start asking:
“What am I allowing into me?”
Pay attention to what you watch first thing in the morning.
Pay attention to the accounts you’re following.
Pay attention to the conversations you constantly participate in.
Pay attention to the music you listen to.
Pay attention to the things you repeatedly hear about yourself and the world.
Because eventually, what you repeatedly consume can influence what feels normal to you.
If your entire timeline is filled with comparison, negativity, gossip, fear, arguing, and people telling you why nothing works, don’t be surprised if you start feeling heavy.
Sometimes you don’t need a new mindset.
You need a new input.
And this applies to food too.
I’m not here to tell you what you should or shouldn’t eat. That’s your personal choice.
But I do believe there is value in becoming more conscious of what you’re consuming and where it comes from.
For me, choosing more plant-based foods has been part of that awareness. It made me think more deeply about what I was putting into my body and the processes behind the food I was consuming.
And you don’t have to completely change your diet overnight to become more intentional.
You could simply start incorporating more whole foods.
Try a meatless meal.
Cook something you’ve never made before.
Notice how different foods make you feel.
The point isn’t perfection.
The point is awareness.
The same goes for media.
You don’t have to delete every social media app and move into the woods.
Just become conscious.
Ask yourself:
How do I feel after consuming this?
Does this inspire me or drain me?
Does this make me feel connected to myself or disconnected from myself?
Am I consuming this because I genuinely enjoy it, or because I’ve been programmed to keep scrolling?
You don’t have to consume everything simply because it’s available to you.
3. Allow Yourself to Outgrow People
One of the hardest parts of evolving is realizing that sometimes your growth changes your relationships.
And that doesn’t automatically mean someone is bad.
It doesn’t mean you have to hate them.
It doesn’t mean you have to create some dramatic ending.
Sometimes you simply realize:
We’re going in different directions now.
And that’s okay.
A woman who is constantly becoming herself will naturally shed old versions of herself.
And sometimes, people were connected to a version of you that you no longer identify with.
You cannot be afraid to choose yourself simply because someone else might not understand it.
You can love people and still have boundaries.
You can care about people and still create distance.
You can appreciate someone’s role in your life without forcing them into your future.
And please don’t feel like you have to drag everyone with you.
Sometimes we spend so much energy trying to bring everyone up with us that we forget to actually climb.
Not everyone is meant to take the same path you are taking.
And that’s okay!
Allow people to be where they are.
Allow yourself to be where you are.
And most importantly, don’t abandon yourself just to keep someone else comfortable.
Your growth deserves room too.
4. Move Your Body as an Act of Gratitude, Not Punishment
Move your body.
Seriously.
Dance.
Walk.
Stretch.
Lift weights.
Do yoga.
Go swimming.
Try Pilates.
Pole dance.
Play a sport.
Whatever makes you feel connected to your body, move.
And especially as women, I think there is something so powerful about learning to experience your body as something you get to live through, rather than something you constantly have to criticize.
Move because you are grateful you can.
Stretch because you want to feel good.
Dance because music makes you happy.
Strength train because you want to feel strong.
Move your hips.
Shake your body.
Take up space.
And let movement be something that connects you back to yourself instead of another way to punish yourself for not looking a certain way.
Sometimes we complain about aging, getting older, not having the body we want, or not being where we thought we’d be.
But there are people who would give anything to have the health, mobility, strength, or abilities we sometimes take for granted.
That doesn’t mean you can’t have goals for your body.
You absolutely can.
But you can pursue those goals from gratitude instead of hatred.
There is a difference.
5. Learn to Say, “Information Is Information”
This is one I’m personally learning.
Something happens.
You receive news.
Someone says something.
Your plans change.
Something doesn’t work out.
And immediately your mind decides:
“This is bad.”
But what if you paused?
What if you allowed the information to simply be information before deciding what it means?
This doesn’t mean ignoring genuinely difficult situations or pretending painful things don’t hurt.
It means not allowing every piece of information to immediately control your emotional state.
Because think about how much power we give external circumstances.
One email can ruin your morning.
One comment can change your mood.
One disappointing number can make you question yourself.
One unanswered text can have you creating an entire story in your head.
And at some point, you have to ask yourself:
Why does everything outside of me get to determine how I feel inside of me?
Be still.
Like water.
Water doesn’t have to fight everything it touches.
It moves.
It adapts.
It remains itself.
And sometimes, the strongest thing you can do is pause before reacting.
You don’t have to immediately label something good or bad.
You can say:
“This is what happened. I don’t know what this means yet.”
Because you don’t.
You are experiencing one moment of a much larger story.
6. Stop Letting the Visible World Convince You That Nothing Is Happening
This one is especially important when you’re in an in-between season.
Because sometimes the outside of your life looks completely different from what you imagined.
You prayed.
You planned.
You visualized.
You worked.
You believed.
And yet…
Where is it?
But just because you cannot see the full picture doesn’t mean there isn’t movement happening that you don’t have access to yet.
There are things being prepared that you cannot see.
There are conversations happening without you.
There are opportunities you haven’t encountered yet.
There are versions of yourself you haven’t met yet.
There are pieces that haven’t connected yet.
Your job is not to obsess over the how every second of the day.
Your job is to keep becoming the woman who can receive what you’re asking for.
That means working on yourself.
Learning.
Healing.
Building.
Praying.
Resting.
Taking action when action is required.
And trusting when something is outside of your control.
This is part of why teachings from people like Abraham Hicks and Neville Goddard have resonated with so many people, they emphasize the relationship between your inner world, your assumptions, your attention, and the reality you’re moving through.
Take what resonates, leave what doesn’t, and always think for yourself.
Spirituality shouldn’t replace discernment.
It should deepen it.
7. Keep Learning Who You Are Beneath the Programming
There is so much noise telling us who we’re supposed to be.
How we’re supposed to look.
What success should look like.
What a woman’s life should look like.
When we should be married.
When we should have children.
What career we should have.
What we should want.
How we should dress.
How we should behave.
What we should believe.
And sometimes becoming yourself requires asking:
“Do I actually believe this, or was I taught to believe this?”
That question alone can change your life.
Self-awareness means becoming curious about yourself.
Why do I react this way?
Why am I afraid of this?
Why do I want this?
Do I actually want it?
Or did I learn that wanting it would make me valuable?
What makes me feel alive?
What makes me feel drained?
What parts of myself have I been suppressing?
What would I choose if I wasn’t worried about being judged?
You are allowed to reprogram.
You are allowed to change your mind.
You are allowed to discover that something you once wanted isn’t what you want anymore.
You are allowed to become someone your younger self couldn’t have imagined.
That’s the beauty of becoming her.
You’re not creating a fake version of yourself.
You’re uncovering more of who you already are.
And Maybe the Most Important Practice: Give Yourself Grace
You are going to have days where you feel aligned.
And days where you don’t.
Days where you feel incredibly spiritual and connected.
And days where you’re annoyed, confused, emotional, tired, and wondering what the heck is going on.
You are still becoming.
You don’t have to perfectly practice gratitude every morning.
You don’t have to meditate for an hour.
You don’t have to eat perfectly.
You don’t have to be positive every second.
You don’t have to have your entire life figured out.
You are allowed to be a woman in progress.
Actually, you will always be a woman in progress.
Because there is no final destination called her.
There is simply another version of you waiting to be discovered.
So enjoy the climb.
Enjoy the awkward middle.
Enjoy the seasons where you’re figuring things out.
Enjoy learning what you like.
Enjoy realizing what you no longer like.
Enjoy becoming more discerning.
Enjoy becoming more confident.
Enjoy meeting yourself again and again.
Because one day, you may look around and realize that the life you once prayed for has become your normal.
And then you’ll probably find something else to dream about.
And that’s okay too.
That’s life.
That’s evolution.
That’s becoming.
Before You Go, Sit With This:
You don’t need to answer these perfectly. Just let them sit with you.
ㅤꨄ︎ What is this season teaching me about myself?
ㅤꨄ︎ Who am I becoming, and what parts of myself am I discovering along the way?
ㅤꨄ︎ What am I being asked to release?
ㅤꨄ︎ What would I do differently if I genuinely trusted that everything was coming together for me?
And maybe most importantly:
♡♡♡What if I stopped rushing to become her and started enjoying being her right now?♡♡♡
Because you are already her.
Not the finished version.
Not the perfect version.
The evolving version.
And she deserves to be loved too.
